The name of this organization is the Petaluma High School Athletic Boosters’ Club.
The specific and primary purpose of this organization is to encourage good citizenship and sportsmanship among all athletes, and to extend respect and courtesy to visiting teams and spectators.
The organization aims to increase community involvement and spectator attendance at all athletic events, while promoting active parental participation and a better understanding of the goals and objectives of the athletic program.
The Petaluma High School Athletic Boosters’ Club assists the school’s athletic program both physically and financially through the recommendations of the Athletic Department. It is the policy of this Athletic Boosters’ Club to completely refrain from directly or indirectly interfering with or influencing the policy or execution of any athletic program.
The Petaluma High School Athletic Boosters’ Club is organized for a non-profit purpose, and no individual member of the organization shall derive profit therefrom.
No substantial part of the activities of this organization shall consist of carrying on propaganda or otherwise attempting to influence legislation, and the Petaluma High School Athletic Boosters’ Club shall not participate or intervene in any political campaign, including the publishing or distribution of statements on behalf of any candidate for public office.
The property of the Petaluma High School Athletic Boosters’ Club is irrevocably dedicated to charitable purposes, and no part of the net income or assets of this organization shall ever inure to the benefit of any director, officer, or member thereof, or to the benefit of any private person.
Upon the dissolution or winding up of the Petaluma High School Athletic Boosters’ Club, its assets remaining after payment, or provision for payment, of all debts and liabilities shall be distributed to a non-profit fund, foundation, or corporation that is organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes and has established tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
